Michelle Morrison
PRINCIPAL
A dedicated pracademic who seeks to bring insights from evidence into action. I have dedicated my life to this work and to the pursuit of peak personal and organisational performance as they define it. I feel blessed to have been entrusted to do this work and in awe of unexpected courage and potential of people. My world is a very real one and leading my life in an integrated way has bought great fulfilment to my life personally and professionally.
More recently, I have become interested in the intersection of all sectors and the obligation of each to build a socially (and environmentally) sustainable world. I recently completed my Masters of Social Impact at Claremont Lincoln University.
Ask me about art, music and contemporary culture, psychoanalysis and the unconscious, or my adventures deploying with The Red Cross to support communities responding to crisis!
CURRICULUM VITAE
A registered psychologist with a background in organisational design, workforce planning and leadership development, built across federal and state government, strategy consulting and the not for profit sector. What ties that experience together is a simple belief: organisations perform best when the systems around people are designed with the people in mind just as much as the organisational strategy.
My previous work has addressed complex people challenges, from designing and delivering leadership development programs to conducting nationwide stakeholder consultation, social impact assessment and organisational strategy design. More recently, I have become particularly interested in what commercial organisations can learn from the not for profit sector, and how a clearly defined purpose can be shaped to genuinely engage staff. I also sit on the research committee for The 100% Project, focused on accelerating gender balanced leadership.
Outside of work you will usually find me hiking, skiing, playing volleyball, or several coffees deep into a conversation about the meaning of life!
